Millions of drivers across the United States are already in the process of making a journey to see friends and family for the Thanksgiving holiday. According to AAA, 90 percent of people traveling for the holiday will do so by car.

Serious and fatal injuries in Texas Veterans day train accident

Four people were killed and more than 16 suffered from serious injuries after a float in a west Texas Veteran's Day parade was hit by an oncoming train. The investigation into the accident is ongoing, but officials say that the float, which was on a flatbed truck, entered the railroad crossing after the warning signals for an approaching train began.

A congressional oversight committee heard testimony this week on how regulations should be changed to better protect consumers from dangerous drugs manufactured at compounding pharmacies. The issue became a matter of public concern after the cause of a deadly fungal meningitis outbreak proved to be unsanitary conditions at a compounding pharmacy.

Fatal car accident on Texas I30 raises concerns about speed limit

Many Texas residents are aware that authorities recently raised the speed limit on the I30 toll road. The speed limit is now 85 miles-per-hour, making it the highest in the nation. That speed limit applies to the 41 mile portion of the highway spanning from Austin to Seguin.
