None of us imagines that we will wind up in a serious car accident. We drive every day, and that we would become the victim of a fiery collision seems unlikely. But it happens to all kinds of people. And on Tuesday, it happened to two drivers who were involved in a Texas car accident.

Fortunately, no one in the wreck suffered life-threatening injuries. But things could have ended much worse, if it hadn't been for a sort of unexpected super hero who stepped in. When the cars crashed, an explosion was ignited. Who pulled a driver from his fiery vehicle? Here's a hint: Ho ho ho!

Yes, Santa Claus pulled through and helped one of the endangered drivers by getting him out of his burning car. Actually, it was a volunteer firefighter who was dressed as the guy in red because he was on his way to do some other good deeds. He was in the Santa garb because he delivers toys to children in need. And on his way to do that, he just happened to save the life of the Texas driver.

Now, that's the holiday spirit. It's alive and well in Texas.

Due to the fact that a man dressed as Santa pulled a driver out of his car after the crash, sources fail at giving many details about the cause of the crash itself. What we do know is that two vehicles were involved and that no fatalities were reported. Whether this could result in a personal injury lawsuit remains to be seen.

This holiday season, however, the roads can tend to be dangerous. People are in a hurry, distracted by their to-do lists, or perhaps they have had too much to drink at a holiday party. With the biggest days of the holiday season ahead of us, everyone needs to remember that part of keeping the holiday spirit is by keeping the roads safe for all. Santa won't be there to save everyone this year.
