You have probably been there: sitting on the edge of your seat at a Major League Baseball game, hoping that a baseball comes your way. Whether you wanted to catch it for yourself or for a loved one, that feeling of anticipation makes going to a baseball game extremely fun.

Sadly, that fun can be dangerous. A recent Texas accident at a Rangers came involved a father trying to catch a ball. His attempt sent him over the railing and head first into the ground 20 feet below him. He didn't survive his serious injuries, and some are now wondering whether a wrongful death suit will ensue as a result of the tragedy.

Was the accident avoidable on the part of the stadium? That question is still left to be answered by authorities as an investigation into the fatal fall at Busch Stadium moves forward. As at least one news source points out, this isn't the first accident like this that has occurred at the Texas baseball stadium.

This particular incident is significantly tragic for a couple of reasons. First, the father - eager to catch a ball for his young son - died in the fall. Secondly, the victim's little boy was right there when the accident happened. The occurrence is something that would be difficult for any adult to live with. It's hard to imagine how his father's death will affect the young boy.

If there are developments about this case and the investigation into the safety of the stadium, we will post an update. Until then, what do you think about the safety of the Texas stadium? Should more safety measures be put in place in order to prevent further accidents?
